Ultrasound, part deux

You can't tell just by looking at these pictures, but in the doctor's office it was clear: we're having a boy! It'll be all snips and snails (and puppy dog's tails) for the next eighteen years.


Here's a naked baby picture. If you look closely, you can see the baby either giving a thumbs up or attempting to suck his thumb.

Ultrasound technology is really amazing. We were able to see the heart, kidneys, and brain; the detail is so exquisite that we could see all four chambers of the beating heart. This baby is apparently fully equipped with legs, hands, feet, eyes, the works.

We asked the doctor to take a closer look to see if the baby was doing anything else in the womb. And then we saw it: there, in the womb, baby had a TI calculator and was showing off some mad computing skills. We're not sure how he got the calculator, but wer'e sure he knows how to use it.
I, of course, was interested to see if baby had a genetic predisposition to particular sports teams. I was afraid that having been conceived in New England he would be a Red Sox fan. To my relief, the doctor was able to use the ultrasound to snap another image and confirm that, like father, he would be an A's fan.
