Walking, Teeth, Grandparents' visit, and Trip to Cape Cod!
After 8 months of us blaming every fussy bout on "teething," our little guy finally sprouted his first tooth at age 10 months. A few days later, he popped another tooth out and started walking (more like hobbling) a few steps at a time. This all happened in the middle of Abi and Yusuf's most recent visit to Boston. We had a great time (and a lot of good food) with them here, including a fun excursion to Boston's Frog Pond, a wading pool where Nuri had a blast. They took a short road trip to New Jersey for a few days and then came back and made us some more food, which made us very happy.
Two weeks later, we made our way down to Cape Cod for our very first family vacation. We went to the beach, ate some great seafood, relaxed outside, went to a Cape Cod League championship game, had lots of ice cream, and watched the Olympics at night. It was nice having no itinerary for once. Nuri enjoyed the beach so much that he played past his usual nap time and then passed out the second we got back in the car.
As usual, here are some photos of the little guy. We've also posted some videos of him walking and playing on the beach.
