Knock me up before you go-go

You'd never know if we hadn't told you, but there are clues scattered around our apartment.

Paperwork is starting to pile up on the desk. It used to be there wasn't enough time to get everything done, but now we're limited by time and energy. You can see an unwashed cup on the desk, too. Our video collection has a few new additions. We haven't watched them, and some we hope we never watch. Still, every time we reach for "The Simpsons" or "Arrested Development," we pause a minute to think about the other videos.

Additional evidence - sure we haven't thrown away the box of chocolates yet, but that's because we're not done with it. The chocolates were sent by family to sweeten our mouths (meehta moo) as a matter of congratulations. The fern is something we purchased for ourselves; houseplants are said to detoxify ambient air, so nothing would please us more for the fern to accumulate poisons.

And finally, the biohazard bag. Neither of us are biologists or doctors, but there it is, living happily on our bathroom shelf. They want frequent urine samples, moreso from her than from him. Carrying around a cup of pee isn't part of the dreams, but it is part of the reality.
